As in the rest of the world, the GDPR has promoted a wave of significant compliance activity by Korean companies.  At the same time, there are important discussions between the Korean government and the EU regarding a possible “adequacy” finding.  This session will examine these and other developments in Korean privacy law and explore their significance for a broad range of U.S. companies, such as those entering or operating in the Korean market. The session will offer practical compliance take-aways.
